DNOC is an ICP (Independent Connection Provider) company specialising in high voltage engineering, design, and installation, with the emphasis on building modular plug and play 33kV steel building substations.

DNOC has a factory in Newport, South Wales, where fully customisable substations are designed and manufactured to meet clients’ specifications, typically at 33kV and 11kV voltage levels.

DNOC has pre-approved 33kV modular substation designs for NGED, SSE and UKPN licence areas. The NGED and SSE versions also allow designs featuring shared access switchgear room, comms rooms and the switchgear arranged as a composite shared board.

Additionally, DNOC has manufactured 33kV substations for Adoption in all the UK DNOs, all as variations on our standard design.

DNOC has installed 33kV and 11kV grid connections, substations, cables and associated contestable works at over 180 high voltage renewable energy sites. These include Solar, STOR, Battery and Biomass sites.
